The utilization of ring
binders for “loose” binding
creates a niche market not well
served by the conventional print
industry. Although a small
niche, there is steady growth.
As this application becomes more
popular through digital printing
technologies, it will replace
the older silkscreen method of
printing. Binder inserts are
most commonly printed, trimmed,
and inserted into clear vinyl
sleeves built into the finished
ring binder. Conventional
medium-to-large runs are
sometimes “embedded” or sealed
directly into the clear vinyl
wrap. Digital printing allows
for shorter runs which can be
easily inserted. Binder inserts
run the gamut from training
materials to presentations.
Binder inserts are a relatively
new application in the
commercial print arena. Vertical
industries, such as genetics and
bioengineering, are gravitating
towards this application.
Our customers are often
trying to establish a new
corporate “look and feel” that
goes far beyond the
standardization of logo colors
and font selection. When
desiring to print with their new
quality guidelines in mind, many
thought the only way to
accomplish this was to print
conventionally, thus incurring
high costs. Digital printing
allows our clients to print
binder inserts in smaller
quantities and allowed them to
deliver the job on time and on
budget. |
