James C. Woodall
President and Chief Executive Officer,
Communicorp, Inc.
James
Woodall is responsible for all Communicorp administration and operations, to include the Columbus and Atlanta facilities.
A native of Columbus, Georgia, James attended
local area public schools, and received his BBA from
Columbus State University, Abbott Turner School of
Business. Prior to joining the company in 1990 as Vice President, Operations and Marketing, he served as president and chief
executive officer of The Print House, Inc., a
Communicorp affiliate. He has over thirty years industry experience.
Mr. Woodall is a past member of the Board of
Directors of Goodwill Industries, and The Boy Scouts
of America. He currently serves on the Boards of
Directors of Communicorp, Inc., the Aflac Federal Credit Union,
the Muscogee County Juvenile
Drug Court Advisory; is a Trustee of the Youth Orchestra of Columbus and a member of the Steering Committee for Columbus State University’s Friends of Art.
Marcia Bonsell
Vice President, Production, Communicorp, Inc.
Marcia
Bonsell began her printing career in 1968 in New York.
In 1977, she moved to Florida to continue learning
the trade and expanded her abilities from technical
to management.
In 2001, Marcia joined Communicorp as Plant Operations
Manager and has been instrumental in the reorganization
and streamlining of processes involved in the prepress,
press, finishing and shipping area. She has also overseen
equipment purchases that have created numerous operational
efficiencies. Marcia has created a training program
to aid talented craftspeople in reaching their full
potential and has spent many hours working with Aflac
in the development and implementation of vendor compliance
for their launch of a bar coded WMS system. Marcia
further evaluates and recommends equipment upgrades
that generate throughput efficiencies to better service
Communicorp’s customer needs.
Marcia received a BBA degree with honors in Management
from Columbus State University. She also holds an
AA Degree, Liberal Arts and an AS Degree, Business
Management from Indian River Community College. She
is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. She is a certified
volunteer at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
She also actively participates in Relay for Life,
March of Dimes, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation,
and Toys for Tots..
Elizabeth W. Dahlin
Vice President, Controller, Communicorp, Inc.
Elizabeth
W. Dahlin is Vice President of Communicorp, Inc.,
and serves as a member of its Board of Directors.
Elizabeth oversees the accounting/financial functions
of the company, its information technology needs and
the operations of the merchandise division. She also
provides client interface in contractual development
and negotiations.
She has more than 15 years of
experience in accounting, commercial real estate
development, and investments. Elizabeth graduated
from the University of Texas at Arlington with a
bachelor’s degree in accounting and earned the
certified public accountant designation in 1981.
Elizabeth formerly served as a Certified Neuro-educational
Consultant with the National Association for Child
Development, working with Autistic children and
others, with a wide array of developmental
abnormalities.
Howard Reiney
Vice President, Creative Services, Communicorp,
Inc.
An
experienced, award-winning designer who efficiently
produces inventive, yet practical solutions, Howard
Reiney heads the Communicorp design departments in
both our Atlanta and Columbus facilities. With over
30 years of experience in the print and creative
industry, Howard has been first-hand witness to the
significant technological advances throughout the
industry.
As Creative Director, Howard oversees our in-house
design staff, as well as freelance artists and
writers and continues to personally design for a
select, diverse list of clients. He is the
recipient of numerous ADDY and PIAG Awards, as well
as other print and design honors.
Howard’s personal time is spent with his family,
gardening and the pursuit of his passions –
sketching and watercolors.
In addition to his career in graphics, Howard is a
Viet Nam veteran and attended both Columbus High
School and Columbus State University.
Susan South
Vice President, Business Development, Communicorp, Inc.
Susan
South, located in the Atlanta office, began her
career at Communicorp in 1984 and has served in the
areas of meeting planning, corporate products and
merchandise sales. Susan was promoted to Vice
President of Merchandise Sales for the Atlanta
Operations of Communicorp in 1998 and was elevated to her present position in 2006. She has provided
continuous growth for Communicorp in corporate
gifts, branding, program development and retail
catalogs for a variety of Fortune 500 companies.
Susan’s client experience and product knowledge has
provided many opportunities to develop and refine
her merchandising expertise. Her passion of product
development has created numerous relationships with
artisans and manufacturers outside of the
traditional promotional products arena. Susan
contributes her success to her co-workers, customers
and vendors -- who have provided projects that allow
unlimited creativity with documented results.
Susan attended Georgia Southern University and
Bauder College.
W. Dean Thompson
Vice President, Sales and Marketing,
Communicorp, Inc.
Responsible for all
corporate sales and marketing activities, Dean's focus is on the promotion to its customers of
Communicorp's core competency; the ability to deliver an effective marketing message to the
right person at the right time.
Prior to joining Communicorp, Dean owned a
successful commercial print/communications firm in
Burlington, NC. Distinguished for visionary ideas,
his firm was recognized as an early adopter of
technology and use of innovative methods to gain a
competitive advantage in the marketplace. He sold
the company to one of the US Top 100 Printers.
Dean also has extensive one to one marketing
experience, having studied and employed its methods
and strategies for many years. He has consulted on
numerous one to one marketing projects including
engagements with companies such as Johnson & Johnson
and various commercial printing firms wishing to
capitalize on this marketing strategy. Dean is
currently consulting and directing various marketing
projects for Aflac that will utilize one to one marketing
and variable data printing to communicate with
customers, associates and employees.
Dean has undergraduate degrees in Economics and
in Business Administration from Elon University in
North Carolina and received his MBA with honors,
from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
Bobby Ammons
Senior Manager, Merchandise Operations, Communicorp,
Inc.
Bobby
graduated from Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi
with a BS in Accounting. After holding several positions
in college administration, he came to Communicorp
in 1993 as Financial and Administrative Manager of
the Atlanta office. He has been instrumental in structuring
our internal and external Internet presence, and currently
manages the overall operations aspect of our Merchandise
Division.
As Director of e-Commerce Programs in 2006, he provided
critical leadership in standardizing customer website
planning, implementation and maintenance projects.
Bobby developed Communicorp’s database sales
projection methodology and reporting mechanism, and
facilitated our network systems and Telecom management.
The management of all Program Sales and Fulfillment
operations continues to be part of Bobby’s responsibilities.
He has been involved in over 30 internal and external
website projects and continues to provide project
management skills at several levels within the company.
Bobby is an avid fisherman, a home improvement enthusiast
and is heavily involved in the music ministry of his
church.
Tom Coker
Senior Manager, Pre Press Operations, Communicorp,
Inc.
Beginning
in 1972 as a camera operator, Tom, began working with
color in the production of 4 color process direct
screening separations. He was originally trained in
the art of re-touching color negatives at the Dupont
training facility in New York and the AGFA School
in Atlanta. Becoming a journeyman 4 color process
film assembler in 1980, he continued to work in the
family owned business of supplying printing companies
with high quality color separations and color proofs.
Working directly with firms such as Southern Living
Magazine, and several major advertising agencies,
Tom soon became the lead scanner operator and color
retoucher. In 1990, Tom moved into sales and later
served as Vice President of what had evolved into
the premier color separation company in the Southeast.
Prior to joining Communicorp, Tom was the manager
of print operations at Lee Printing in Dalton, Ga.
where he set up the color scanning operations for
textile scanning and color correction, overseeing
production of computer to film printing for several
large carpet mills.
Since joining Communicorp, Tom has supervised the
creation of the Digital Photography department, the
installation of the computer to plate system and the
remodeling and streamlining of several premedia departments.
Under Tom’s direction, Communicorp has developed into
one of the most efficient, state-of-the–art printing
companies in the country. Utilizing the latest in
color management, Communicorp’s all digital workflow
emphasizes the fingerprinting of printing presses
to ink jet proofing devices, computer monitors used
in page assembly and remote digital proofing stations
via the Internet.
Tom Harris
Senior Manager, Production Services, Communicorp, Inc.
Recently, Tom accepted leadership of Communcorp’s Aflac Customer Service Department. This department provides order entry, coordination, and billing functions to Aflac, Communicorp’s parent company and largest print customer. This assignment is additional to his oversight of estimating, job planning, purchasing, and inventory control functions. He utilizes broad knowledge of the MIS system and reporting software to provide company management with information about operations and costs.
Tom began his printing career in Atlanta, Georgia and has over 30 years of print experience. He worked for several commercial printers in Atlanta as an artist, illustrator, estimator, and production manager. At Communicorp, Tom has served as Art Director, Manager of Planning and Scheduling, Print Shop Manager, and more recently Director of Production Services.
Tom holds a BFA degree from the University of Georgia. He attended the Ruskin School of Drawing at Oxford University, England, for graduate study in 1975. With a love of drawing, he has mounted one man shows in Athens, Stone Mountain, and Atlanta, Georgia.
Butch Thomas
Senior Manager, Production, Communicorp, Inc.
Butch Thomas has over 28 years experience in several aspects of print production. Butch’s printing career began in 1978 at Howard Printing where he gained experience in the pressroom, bindery, warehouse, and shipping and receiving.
In 1984 Communicorp acquired Howard Printing, a locally-owned commercial printing company. In 1989 Butch attended Heidelberg Training in New York. Butch’s press skills and leadership abilities offered him promotions to 4-color press operator, 6-color press operator (or Senior Press Technician) producing award-winning collateral for Aflac and a variety of Communicorp’s commercial customers. He was promoted to Press Supervisor in 1991 and Press Manager in 1997. Butch also oversees Communicorp’s bindery operations with his 2006 promotion to Senior Manager, Production.
Butch has seen many changes in the pressroom, including manually-operated presses replaced by computer controlled presses. He has researched new equipment, traveling to Heidelberg and Dresden, Germany, and Copenhagen, Denmark. His recommendations contributed to the recent purchases of Communicorp’s current state-of the art presses.
Butch is an active HOG member (Harley Owner’s
Group). His charitable activities have benefited many
groups such as Toys for Tots, the Diabetes Association
Ride for Life, March of Dimes, and The American Red
Cross.
David Williams
Senior Manager, Support Services, Communicorp,
Inc.
David
Williams joined Communicorp in late 2006 as Manager
of Human Resources. He came to this position with
over 20 years of HR experience, having previously
served as HR Manager, Safety Manager and Director
of Benefits for major manufacturing companies in Columbus,
Georgia. David holds both a BS Ed and an M Ed from
Columbus State University. He was promoted to his
current position in December 2007, and is responsible
for leading the Human Resources, Facilities and Quality
Assurance departments of Communicorp. David is also
charged with implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques
in our organization.
David’s basic philosophy for the Human Resources
function is one of customer service. Putting this
philosophy into practice has enhanced the working
experience for Communicorp employees and achieved
recognition by PIA/GATF as one of the “Best
of the Best” companies to work for in the Best
Workplace in the Americas contest for 2007.
David is Chairman of the Trustees for his church,
and has served on the board of Partners in Education,
the Manufacturers Committee for Columbus Technical
College. He is also a member of the Society for Human
Resources Management..
