Pocket folders remain a
standard tool, and the print
market for this product is
expected to keep pace with or
exceed printing industry general
growth over the next five years.
The ability to produce pocket
folders in short quantities and
full color allows for individual
personalization, increasing the
impact of the sale literature.
Just as in the past, pocket
folders will continue to be used
for press kits, product
literature containment,
proposals, and presentations.
The ability to print
economically in full color and
in short runs will allow
diversity and flexibility of
usage with reduced waste and
obsolescence. Like most
companies HP Indigo needs pocket
folders for a variety of
reasons. Primarily they have a
need to showcase their ability
to print on this type of
material and additionally to
deliver literature and proposals
during the sales process. In
this example they printed a 12"
x 18" sheet for the “base” of
the folder and then ran a second
form for pockets only, with two
each of two pockets “up.” These
separate pockets have side and
bottom die cut glue tabs, which
are then affixed to the inside
of the printed and scored
“base.” Voila! Pocket folders!
